AFFIRMATIVE
ACTION NATIONAL RALLY
AT
THE SUPREME COURT
April
1, 2003
Washington, D.C.
Rally
to begin at 9:00 a.m.
On April 1, 2003, the U.S.
Supreme Court will hear arguments on the University
of Michigan's affirmative action admissions
policies. The ruling of the Supreme Court
will be critical to the future direction of
this country. An adverse ruling will have
a rippling effect throughout the country,
not only in college admissions policies, but
corporate and government policies, hiring
practices, and the distribution of contracts.
An even wider and most important issue is
the impact a negative ruling will have on
the socio-political direction of this country-whether
the country will embrace the concept of inclusion
and cultural diversity versus a re-segregation
of the social, economic, and political landscape.
